The events of Virupaksha happen in the village of Rudravanam in the late 1900s. A couple was killed in the village on the accusation of using black magic to kill children. The woman who was lynched curses the village, saying that it will perish during the "Pushkaram" period. After 12 years, the town starts experiencing the effects of the curse, as suicide rates increase. Why are residents of the community killing themselves? What is the connection to the curse? How does Surya, who visits the village for jathara, get involved? The rest of the story focuses on how he unravels the underlying causes of the mystery and resolves the issue.
Sai Dharam Tej has changed his course for the first time in his career with a mystical action thriller, a genre he had never tried before. Sai does a good job, and in some parts, he reminded me of his uncle Megastar Chiranjeevi, which is a plus, but he needs to get smaller in the future. An unexpected element in this film is Samyuktha Menon's performance as Nandini. Her acting was excellent throughout the film. Her appearance and performance in the film ought to result in more offers and praise. The rest of the principal actors, which included Sunil, Rajeev Kanakala, Ajay, Bhramaji, and Sai Chand, performed admirably.
Karthik, the filmmaker, chose a difficult storyline for his first movie and carried it off effectively. He does a superb job of fusing the script with excellent technical skills. He gets the finest performance out of his cast and staff. With some clever turns in the second half, Sumukar's script and screenplay kept the action moving and didn't let the audience's sense of wonder wane. Production values, visual effects, and cinematography are all excellent. It's important to note the background music because it significantly improved the ambiance of this mystery thriller multiple times.
The first half of Virupaksha is interesting despite a few small flaws. The main focus of the story succeeds as sound design and BGM outperforms everyone else. The second half of Virupaksha keeps moving forward because of the outstanding technical play. They give the proceedings energy. Ultimately, Virupaksha provides enough for genre fans to make it a great hit at the box office.
